Our dialer software contains a listing of all of our access numbers including Spencer, Jefferson and Shelby County, KY.   This allows you to easily select a local number, regardless of your location. We have access to over 3000 Internet dial-up locations, and the list continues to grow.

To install the software:

1. Download the software by clicking here.
2. Double-Click the setup.exe icon from the directory where the installation was saved.
3. Contact Elk Creek Internet to provide your billing information, along with your username and password. (NOT NECESSARY IF YOU SIGNED UP ONLINE)
4. Folllow the onscreen instructions. Your username is always your full, primary e-mail address.
5. Enter your password twice.
6. Select your dial-up location from the list.
7. If you have call waiting, you will want to disable it when dialing out. To disable call waiting, click the "Properties" button, and check the box "To disable call waiting, dial:" and select "*70". Click the "OK" button to save the changes.
8. If you computer has more than one modem, you will need to click the "Options" button and select the correct modem from the "Modem" tab.
9. Click the "OK" button to begin the installation.
10. You may need to reboot your computer after installation. Do so if directed to by your computer.
11. After installation, you will have a new shortcut on your desktop labled "Elk Creek Internet". Double-click this icon to launch the dialer. After connection, a small blinking icon will appear in the system tray (lower right hand side of computer, next to clock). Double click this icon to disconnect your session.

To install the SlipStream Web Accelerator:

You must download and install the SlipStream 6X Accelerator seperatly from our dialer. This service is included with all of our dial-up accounts.
